Changing the PHP version
Different applications and WordPress versions may require different PHP versions. In the Enhance control panel you can change the PHP version easily.
Changing the version
- Log in at panel.nordweb.fi
- Navigate to Websites → select your website
- Open the PHP section or the website's general settings
- Select the PHP version you want from the dropdown menu
- Save the changes
Supported PHP versions
- PHP 8.3 (recommended - the newest and fastest)
- PHP 8.2
- PHP 8.1
- PHP 8.0
- PHP 7.4 (older, security updates have ended)
Things to note
- Test your website after changing the version
- WordPress recommends PHP 8.1 or newer
- Older PHP versions are a security risk
- Newer PHP versions are significantly faster
