Changing name servers

If your domain is registered with another provider but you want to use Nordweb's hosting, you need to change the name servers to point to Nordweb's servers.

ns2.nordweb.fi

Making the change

1. Log in to the control panel of your domain's current registrar
2. Find the domain's name server settings (Nameservers / NS records)
3. Replace the current name servers with Nordweb's name servers
4. Save the changes

When the change takes effect

Name server changes can take 1 to 48 hours before they are in effect everywhere. During this time, the website and email may work intermittently.

When do the name servers need to be changed?

• When you move the website to Nordweb's hosting but keep the domain with another registrar
• When you want to use Nordweb's DNS management
